General terms and conditions of sale
These conditions also apply to bookings made by phone or any other means, including on-site. The Children's Museum reserves the right to modify these general conditions at any time; these modifications come into effect upon their publication on the website.
Exhibition and Workshop Admission - Open to the Public:
- E-tickets received from your online order do not necessarily need to be printed. You can present your barcode on your smartphone at the museum entrance.
- If you qualify for a reduced rate (Ixelles resident, Carte PROF), a valid ID will be required.
- Article 27 beneficiaries are requested to present a sealed ticket upon entry. Article 27 tickets must be dated for the month of the scheduled visit.
- Admission tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
School Visit:
- Any cancellation of a visit must be communicated exclusively by email.
- In case of cancellation or date change less than 30 days before the visit, 100% of the visit will be charged. If changes in the number of students or visitors result in a decrease in the number of groups planned, the entire initial amount will be charged.
- In case of date change before the 30 working days before the scheduled visit date: a charge of 30€ for administrative fees will apply.
- The invoice issued serves as a reservation. Therefore, in case of non-payment of the invoice within the agreed upon time frame, the reservation will be considered null and void, and no services will be provided.
Birthday Party:
- In case of cancellation up to one calendar month before the scheduled date of the birthday party, a refund of 100% of the amount will be issued, minus a 10€ handling fee.
- In case of cancellation between 1 calendar month and 2 calendar weeks before the scheduled date of the birthday party, a refund of 50% of the amount will be issued, minus a 10€ handling fee.
- In case of cancellation within the two calendar weeks before the scheduled date of the birthday party: no refund will be issued.
out-of-school group Visit:
- Any cancellation of a visit must be communicated exclusively by email.
- In case of cancellation or date change within 30 working days before the scheduled visit date: 100% of the visit will be charged.
- If there is a change in the number of children/visitors resulting in a decrease in the number of groups during morning visits, within 30 days before the visit, the entire initial amount will be charged.
- In case of date change before the 30 working days before the scheduled visit date: a charge of 30€ for administrative fees will apply.
- The invoice issued serves as a reservation. Therefore, in case of non-payment of the invoice within the agreed upon time frame, the reservation will be considered null and void, and no services will be provided.
holiday camp:
- Registration is only considered valid upon receipt of full payment for the workshop.
- The Museum reserves the right to cancel the workshop if the minimum number of registrations required is not met. In case of cancellation on your part:
- Up to one month before the start of the workshop, reimbursement of the workshop fee, minus 15€ for administrative fees.
- Cancellation starting one month before the start of the workshop, reimbursement of half of the workshop fee.
- Absence on the first day of the workshop: the amount paid will be retained. Any workshop that has commenced is fully owed.
After-school activities / Leisure care (theatre workshops, Creative Thursdays, …)
- Registration is valid for the entire scheduled period (from October to June).
- The full amount of the activity remains payable, regardless of the chosen payment method (payment in one instalment, in two instalments or in monthly instalments).
- No refund will be made in the event of withdrawal or absence during the year, except in cases of force majeure duly justified.
- Payments can be made:
– in one instalment via the invoice (invoice sent by e-mail),
– in two instalments (before 15 October and before 15 January),
– in nine fixed monthly instalments, by standing bank order to the account indicated on the invoice, with due dates set on the 15th of each month (from October to June).
- Registration will only be considered definitive after receipt of the first payment and, in the case of instalments, upon receipt of proof that the standing bank order has been set up. This must be done within 10 days following the sending of the invoice by e-mail.
- In the event of non-payment within the agreed deadlines, the reservation will be considered null and void, no service will be provided, and the place will be reassigned.
- Any cancellation must be communicated exclusively by e-mail.
Payment Terms:
- All invoices must be settled within 10 days from the date of issuance of the invoice.
